Children’s Cancer Foundation (CCF) Singapore conducted another ‘Hair for
Hope’ event on 23rd and 24th of July to raise funds to help children living
with cancer and their families. The purpose of this annual event is to create
awareness about childhood cancer in Singapore and to show children with cancer
that it is OK to be bald!
And with tremendous support from Argenta Underwriting Asia Pte Ltd,
Lloyd's Asia, friends and family, I participated in this event to support CCF,
Singapore and SpeakGuru Foundation. Yes! You heard
right, I went bald for these 2 foundations and it was one of the most
satisfying things I've ever done in my life!
Here's a brief note about CCF,
CCF, Singapore is well known for providing quality help and
resources to children living with cancer and their families. They are also
known for their unwavering work in improving the quality of life through
emotional, social and medical well-being. I had the privilege to attend one of
their volunteer’s orientation classes where they presented an overview of their
foundation and it was a real pleasure to learn about their goals and
aspirations. More about this foundation at http://www.ccf.org.sg/
The Result: Record breaking number of shavees at Hair
Singapore, 23 July 2011- Into its
9th consecutive year, Children’s Cancer Foundation
(CCF)’s annual signature event, Hair for Hope (HfH), has attracted more than
individuals who have registered to be shaved over the weekend at VivoCity. This
highest recorded over the years, a testimony to the strong community support
with cancer and their families. (Report from CCF, SIngapore)
I want to thank you all for supporting me and your generous donation will
definitely make the lives of children living with cancer more enriching and
more meaningful today. May God bless you all richly!
